Cleveland, OH - The Home Builders Association (HBA) of Greater Cleveland recently held their Annual Installation and Awards Banquet and is pleased to announce that Enzo Perfetto, Owner of Enzoco Homes has been installed as the 2012 HBA President.

In his acceptance speech, Perfetto stated that in the coming year he hopes to raise the level of awareness for increased training and education needed in the Building Industry and to enhance the credibility of the HBA as a conduit of reliable housing information.

Perfetto added that for an industry that contributes to approximately 15% of the Gross Domestic Product of the US economy and has led the country out of every recession - Home Building is not listed as a major course of study at any university. Vocational schools can provide basic construction skills but increased education is still necessary for many of the trades and home builders in general.

“The assembly of a home can never be outsourced to another country and homes will always be made in America,” said Perfetto. “I would love to see a mentoring program where HBA members volunteer a day to teaching our youth the opportunity that lies within one of America’s most valued industries.”

Other HBA officers installed for the coming year include Vice President George Davis, President of ProBuilt Homes; Treasurer Rick Colwell of Little Mountain Homes; and Secretary Mike Payne Jr. of Payne and Payne Builders.

The HBA is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion, advancement and professionalism of the Building, Remodeling and Associated Industries. The HBA of Greater Cleveland is a 300+ member organization that represents all aspects of housing and serves as the voice of housing in northeast Ohio while protecting the Foundation of the American Dream of owning a home.
